Step into tranquil suites, sophisticated spa facilities, exquisite dining options, and one of the finest kids clubs in the city.
The setting
Nestled on the eastern Crescent of The Palm, the sheer grandeur of Sofitel evokes the essence of a resort reminiscent of those found in the Americas. A majestic entrance leads to an expansive lobby adorned with captivating water features on either side. The décor exudes opulence, with a “green wall” alive with real tropical flora growing along the back of the hotel. The service is both efficient and welcoming, and the staff is abundant to cater to the guests’ needs. However, the layout can be a tad confusing in some areas – a few additional signs would be helpful, especially when navigating to their spa, an experience you won’t want to miss.

The rooms
The resort offers 361 rooms and suites, along with 182 fully serviced residences. The rooms, available in various price ranges, prioritize spaciousness and comfort, staying true to the Tahiti-inspired ambiance. During our stay, we occupied a first-floor junior suite, featuring a connected lounge and bedroom adorned with generous sofas and modern conveniences. The generously sized bathrooms feature twin sinks, freestanding baths inviting for a swim, and amenities from Hermes D’Orange Verte.
Leisure & Well-being
So Spa- Woman’s relaxation areaYour visit to the spa should be an essential part of your resort experience, be it for a single day or an extended four-day retreat. The atmosphere within evokes an authentic ambiance – you could easily imagine being on a French Polynesian island. Subtle exotic scents waft through the air, creating a serene atmosphere enhanced by waterfalls and organic “monoi” products.
The 28 treatment rooms are tastefully adorned, and the spa also features a sauna, steam room, freshwater pool, and four outdoor cabanas – perfect spots for passing the time in tranquility.
The extensive treatment menu includes both traditional and uniquely invigorating therapies, such as the exotic monoï and black sand body scrub, organic seaweed bath, and an amethyst and volcanic stone massage. I indulged in their signature massage, a seamless blend of therapeutic firmness and complete relaxation. I could have easily dozed off for hours.
